Microsoft has slashed prices of the Xbox360 Arcade unit in India from the current prices of 16,990 rupees ($360) to 14,676 rupees ($312).
The Arcade unit comprises of Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, standard AV cable, Xbox Live Arcade Compilation Disc (with 5 arcade games) and 256Mb Memory Unit.
Launched in 2005 to coincide with the Christmas Eve, the Xbox 360 comes with more than 250 games like Trials HD, Castle Crashers and Braid.
The decision to slash prices comes close on the heels of launching Microsoft's new Xbox 360 Dashboard-based game browser for its Xbox Live Arcade service, set for launch on July 14.
The browser enables users to sort games price-wise and user-rating and also find similar games.
Known as Destination Arcade, the new product is an improved version following complaints that the existing Xbox Live Interface is unable to find new games that individual users are not aware of.
